A Midweek Stay Worth Sharing

Stayed here for 2 mid week nights. The hotel is fantastic and the staff are amazing. They literally cannot do enough for you. Extremely pleasant. During breakfast service we were always greeted by friendly faces. The evening meal we had in the hotel restaurant was fantastic and the young gentleman behind the bar was amazing. The hotel is ideally located with Kilkenny castle some 500 yards away and shops and bars being roughly the same distance. There is plenty to see and do. The hotel was fantastic value and we managed to get a great deal. 2 nights stay, with 2 course evening meal one evening and full continental and cooked breakfasts both mornings all for €230. Would HIGHLY recommend.

A Little Extra Care Goes a Long Way

The beds are just so comfortable :-) Also, had breakfast on one morning and as a coeliac was a bit worried (as always). However, the lady who was at the reception area of the dining room couldn't have been nicer and took it on herself to make sure the chef freshly prepared my breakfast in the kitchen.

It’s The People Who Make The Difference

Lovely hotel. Staff are so kind and friendly especially Mags in breakfast room. Very considerate towards elderly people. Dinner was delicious. Leisure centre is dated but lovely. Pool water perfect temperature. Great location

A Stay Worth Coming Back For

Second visit to The Ormonde. Really central location. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Really friendly staff. Especially Mags in the breakfast room. Such a nice lady. Lovely touch with birthday plate in our room. Great to be able to use the pool & saunas. Would highly recommend.

When One Stay Turns Into Four...

This was our 4th time staying in this hotel, its location is great, a 2 minute walk to Kilkenny Castle at the end of the road, shop's, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance, the staff at the hotel are excellent, nice and friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend staying here.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It...
